Calm Woman

A holistic, natural approach to feeling more grounded and balanced

Help with Stress Management

There may be external factors and internal factors that are contributing to your mental & emotional wellbeing. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine work incredibly well to calm the nervous system and regulate the internal workings of the body to create a sense of relaxed ease. When the body is in balance and all the systems are functioning efficiently, one can experience relief from many different issues. After an Acupuncture treatment, people usually feel very calm and grounded. This state of ease may last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. With each treatment, the effects typically last longer and longer. The benefits are cumulative and build on each other with each treatment.

How does it work? When we are stressed, our bodies shift into the sympathetic system. This is known as the fight-or-flight state and can contribute towards feelings of anxiety, depression, frustration, worry, and fear. We may notice our heart rate increases and our breath becomes more shallow.

By helping the body shift back into our parasympathetic system, known as the rest-and-digest state, the entire body can relax and function more efficiently. Chinese Medicine uses all natural approaches to bring the body back into balance and back to a state of ease, helping you feel more calm. I collaborate with my patients so they have tools for managing stress in their daily lives moving forward.
