Ginger, aka Sheng Jiang, is a commonly used herb in East Asian Medicine.
It is warming and nourishing. Ginger can help calm the stomach to ease nausea and clear the lungs to settle a cough and resolve phlegm.

Ginger Tea Ingredients:
2 large, raw organic ginger roots
1/2 cup water
Optional:
honey (to taste)
Ginger Tea Recipe:
You can make this recipe once a week and take one serving each day.
It should last about a week.
peel all of the ginger
slice ginger into 1/2 inch pieces
place ginger slices into blender with 1/4 cup water to start
blend until ginger is puree
add water if needed to create puree consistency
you may need to scrape sides of blender with a spatula in between blending
pour puree into small pot and simmer for 2 minutes
allow the puree to cool and store in fridge for use
Making a cup of Ginger tea:
Place a teaspoon (or more or less to your liking) of ginger puree into a mug and pour hot water.
For taste and additional health benefits, add some honey.
Honey (Feng Mi in East Asian Medicine) helps soothe the throat and stop cough, supports digestion, and promotes healthy bowel movements.
